ASICS engineers created specific deformable shapes defined by hollow grooves on the top of the midsole to slow the rate of pronation, while the flared geometry of the midsole adds the right amount of support.
A concave shape on the lateral (outside) heel and convex shape on the medial (inside) heel helps generate more compression during the landing phase, which increases the resistance when the foot starts rolling inward at mid-stance.
Additionally, the wider base in the shoe’s heel and forefoot provides more surface area to create a stable landing and toe-off.
With a focus on sustainability, GEL-KAYANO Lite 2 keeps your step stable and your mind light. The engineered mesh upper is made with a higher percentage of recycled materials than the previous version. FLYTEFOAM cushioning is made from organically derived materials, another way ASICS is softening impacts on your body and our planet.
